The Closure Operator, Flats and Hyperplanes of es-Splitting Matroid

چکیده
The es-splitting operation on binary matroids is a natural generalization of Slater's <em>n</em>-line splitting graphs. In this paper, we characterize the closure operator matroid MeX in terms original M. We also describe ats and hyperplanes bi- nary hyperplanes, respectively

The Lattice of Flats and its Underlying Flag Matroid Polytope
Let M be a matroid and F the collection of all linear orderings of bases ofM. orflags of M. We define the flag matroid polytope A(F)We determine when two vertices of A(F) are adjacent, and provide a bijection between maximal chains in the lattice of flats of M and certain maximal faces of A(F).
متن کاملThe Lattice of Cyclic Flats of a Matroid
Matroid theory is a combinatorial abstraction of geometry, with flats playing the role of subspaces. Cyclic flats are special flats that contain key geometric information about a matroid. This talk presents a variety of recent results and open problems about the lattice of cyclic flats. In particular, we show that every finite lattice arises as the lattice of cyclic flats of a (fundamental tran...
متن کاملRelationship between the second type of covering-based rough set and matroid via closure operator
Recently, in order to broad the application and theoretical areas of rough sets and matroids, some authors have combined them from many different viewpoints, such as circuits, rank function, spanning sets and so on. In this paper, we connect the second type of covering-based rough sets and matroids from the view of closure operators. On one hand, we establish a closure system through the fixed ...
متن کاملSome Properties of Cyclic Flats of an Infinite Matroid
We prove that when a pre-independence space satisfies some natural properties, then its cyclic flats form a bounded lattice under set inclusion. Additionally, we show that a bounded lattice is isomorphic to the lattice of cyclic flats of a pre-independence space. We also prove that the notion of cyclic width gives rise to dual-closed and minorclosed classes of B-matroids. Finally, we find a dif...
متن کاملOperator splitting
Operator splitting is a numerical method of computing the solution to a differential equation. The splitting method separates the original equation into two parts over a time step, separately computes the solution to each part, and then combines the two separate solutions to form a solution to the original equation. A canonical example is splitting of diffusion terms and convection terms in a c...
